About

This module clears the downloaded package list generated by apt-get (apt-get cache) and downloads a fresh package list. This module ensures the package manager is using the most up to date packages from the repositories. Note, the module only clears the cache once. Subsequent runs this module will not clear the cache.

Installation

The module can be obtained from the Puppet Forge. The easiest method for installation is to use the puppet-module tool. Run the following command from your modulepath:

puppet-module install conzar/reset_apt

Limitations

Only works with redhat & debian based OS's.
